28th April 2008 to 2nd May 2008
There was a week anyway interrupted with a Friday (May 1), we have decided to hold a special week. The kindergarten and the lower grades have made paper towels stained made and stamp. The intermediate and advanced, we have divided into a girl and a young group. The boys built with Heiko more on the mini-Kichwa house, the girls crocheting with me a handbag.
I made the three days of great fun. Although the girls had previously never crocheted, they have grasped the technology quickly and went with great zeal, ran to the cause. They worked sometimes so focused and quiet as a mouse that I felt the urge to start a conversation. When they talked have, then usually on Kichwa, which had me happy.
Anja had a fever this week and had to keep the bed. That was no problem but apart from that Häkelstunden were simply held in the teacher's house, enjoyed what the girls of course.
On Wednesday afternoon went We once again to Tena to once again look at the past Bilingüe and the forms to all in order. However, I took Anya's violent fever slowly concerns and we decided to go instead to control malaria. (PS: 40.5 degree fever in the middle of the night in the jungle, if you know that the next really good hospital three hours away, and you'd have to first have to organize a canoe, which is still a bit of a sinking feeling in my stomach). You get to this point
a prick in the finger, not a patch on it and then after half an hour of waiting time
negative or positive decision. The man in front of us had a positive blood sample and got a bunch of drugs with (there are just yet malaria cases in Tena!) When Anja they are lucky to have found nothing.
the evening I got a strong ear pain. Like the whole year, I also responded to Anja's disease with a Wehwechen. Thursday was the freedom I enjoy any more, so distracted me from the throbbing pain in the ear. On Friday morning, after a night spent in a sitting position, I decided to drive me to Puyo. It was a pity I could not be in school that day. Steffi has organized a sports day for all students, with duathlon and Border Ball tournament. Actually, I would have been very happy since it ... The occasion was a great success.
In Puyo - after three hours of bus, half an hour bureaucracy and another hour of waiting time - I knew for sure what had Anja and me so afflicted. Anja had a decaying flu, as we had already suspected this. And I have a infección del oído medio - a middle ear infection. And I can say that I have temporarily taken a ruptured eardrum in buying, just so the pain would finally stop. That said, I'm just not good at being sick.
